Busy day at work. I have been calling vendors most of the day requesting a copy of thier W9 forms. Companies really get kind of touchy when it comes to thier tax id numbers then others just give it over without a question as to who I was.  I asked for a current W9 form and what I end up getting is a W9 form with an IRS revision of October 1997 (or some other outdated form). Then I have to call them back and tell them this. Most everyone got pissy about it. So my date was full of negitive energy. So here I sit with my feet soaking in some hot water and a glass of wine, watching Star Trek 6.

Yea! It's Friday. Tonight is Fiber Friday at my local yarn shop. Fiber Friday isn't where a group of people sit around and talk about digestive problems. It's a night where a group of awsome ladies get together and knit or weave or spin. All things involving fiber is done. It's a great night for fiber geeks.

Here is a necklace I made not too long ago. It has swarovski crystals and polymer beads I made.

Here is my little sheep pin. My husband says he has a camel head. I don't think so but then again I made him.

Here's my cat Khar-pern. Yes its a strange name. I was reading a Gale Greeno book when I got him and Khar-pern was one of the giant cats in the story. So naturally I named him Khar-pern. In this picture he is playing with one of my hand dyed ball of yards. (Yes I did dye the yarn my-self. :o)



Thursday Night Ho-Hums

Tonight is my Friday night (I work 4 days a week) and there is nothing on t.v. and it's too hot to work in my studio and cure beads in the oven. But the good news is that it is Labor Day weekend so I have 4 days off instead of three.

Here is a pendant I made couple of years ago. As you can see it's a heart covered with red roses. (duh)

Here are the flower petal bracelets I made for myself and three good friends made from the flowers from our spring celebration.

 bought some Swellegant patinas. I made this bowl and tried out my new purchase on it.  I used bronze metal paint and a sea green patina. I think I went overboard with the patina. I was trying for a bowl brought up from the bottom of the ocean look.

This is a pair of earring I made with swarovski crystal, swarovski pearls and seed beads.

This is a purse charm I made with peonie flower canes decorating it.

And last of all for now is my spider bracelet. Kinda cool isn't it. I made them around halloween last year at the same time I made my skull beads. You can see them in one of my earlier posts.

What a night

I get a message that one of the ladies in one of my circles on Etsy would like to purchase 2 of my pumkin pandora style beads. Okay, no problem. When I get home, I can find them.....So what else can I do but make another batch. So here I sit waiting for the darn things to cure in the oven so then I can put them in the tumbler to sand the ruff edges off.

Not too bad are they.

The other day a gal from my office came to me and showed me a necklace that she wanted clip earrings for. You know the type of earring that you get if you don't have a hole in your ears. She asked me to make them. So here is a picture of the earrings I made for her.

I made the earrings out of red jade stones, swarovski crystals, quartz beads and some cool findings.


I make beads out of dried flower petals and another lady from work heard about it and brought in the flowers she caught at a friends wedding. She wanted me to make a bracelete so that she could give to her friend. So I did and here it is.

The light was a bit bright but I guess the picture shows the flower colors well enough. There were dark burgandy roses, red carnations, purple orchids, and these puffy yellow balls on a stick thingys.




This is a necklace I made while I was trying my hand a sculpting. I took a wonderful class on line and while I think I did an okay job it let me figure out that sculpting just isn't for me....yet.

(is that even how you spell sculpting?)

This is a multicolored necklace with copper wings. I thought of how it would feel to be able to really fly and to be able to weave in and out of a rainbow. Now these colors are my attempt of making rainbow colored beads that complement each other. What turned out was sort of a soft hued color blend of beads

I was inspired to make these earrings while on vacation in Hawaii this past spring. All the leaves and flowers that surrounded us. It was magical so I made these so I could have a tiny piece of that wonderful time with me.

As you can tell I like to make jewerly. Some for myself, some for my friends. I also knit and spin fiber to make yarn. I like to keep myself busy. I am doing this blog to share some of my work with others. So anyone who is reading these blogs, please leave a comment on what you think of my work.

I can't seem to open up my old blog. Maybe I have been away from it too long. So I am creating a new one.

I have recently started a new job and so far so good. My best friend recommended me for the postion. I like it alot. I stay at my desk and attach documents to files and listen to my iPod. Life is good.

I have been working on some new jewerly projects. I will get pictures of it up soon. In the meantime here are some pictures of some pieces I have done.

 These skull beads have been really popular. I listed them on my Etsy site close to Halloween thinking that people will be looking for items like them. But Halloween came and went and no one purchased them. Then Christmas season rolls around and I sold out of the fist batch. Who'd a thunk it?



This is an animal print cuff bracelet. There is a necklace and a pair of earrings that match it.

 



This is a Lilac pendant/necklace I made at the request of a very close friend.

These are a pair of Lamb cane pens. My fiber guild really went ga-ga over the lamb cane I used for this. I also made a Christmas ornament with the lamb cane.

My daughter went out on her first date tonight. The boy is 16 and driving. He came in and met me and my husband. We thought he was going to wet himself when my husband was talking to him about curfews and stuff.  I think she got her first kiss tonight too, but I haven't had time to ask her without her father in the room.
